Camping des Prince d'orange - haute alpes orpierre site d'escalade

ORPIERRE located in the valley of Buëch at the south of the High Alps between "Drome" and the "Alpes de Hautes Provence", is a charming small medieval village. To 700 m of height, old narrow lanes, old residences: the house of Princes d'' Orange.

We are on average mountain and the many tops are at approximately 1300 m of height, with some charming villages,some forests, some herds of sheep, some fields of Lavender. A fauna and a still intact flora within a single framework.
Useless to say that this area of High Provence, is largely sunny, without however being upset by a too hot summer days, altitude allowing gentle breeze very pleasant (no mistral).
ORPIERRE is a classified health resort, one looks after the fragile children of the respiratory tracts there (asthmas, etc…)

Great in sporting possibilities for all levels:

100 km of marked out pedestrian paths and the GR 946 ;
380 km 380 km of V.T.T circuits; the orpierroise 15/08/2007 from 15 to 60 km.
+ de 500 climbing ways all levels;
many tourist-cycling circuits, the fourth valbuëchoise 10/06/2007 from 25 to 165 km. On the roads of " tour de France" 2006.

A school of climbing with a High mountain guide which manage climbing, Via Ferrata, Canyoning.
Baptisms and Parapente. The village organizes various demonstrations, such as "Fête Votive", Kermesse, etc...And have far of 150 m of the camp-site, a miniature golf, a ground of foot, a swimming pool. You will find a grocer, bakery no far. An office of tourism.
